The HISTORY book package allows you to record your family history through video interviews, stories, photographs, and meaningful family mementos. Your package includes copies of all video interviews alongside your completed hard cover book. This family heirloom tells your story and promises to be a meaningful gift that can be passed down from generation to generation.

Included in the package:

VIDEO INTERVIEWS

Package price begins at 4 hours of interviews and can include as many hours of interviews as you choose.

Interviews are broken down into 2-hour sessions. Interview travel can be accommodated for an extra fee.

Interview topics / questions will be discussed prior to sessions, allowing you to add and/or prohibit any topics.

INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPTION AND STORY WRITING

We will take the interview sessions, transcribe, and turn into a cohesive story that reads like a biography. We will discuss storytelling style at the inception of project.

IMAGE SELECTION

Once the story is outlined, we will meet to discuss photographs and mementos that will be included in your book.

For photographs and souvenirs that you do not have in a digital format, we will scan and upload for inclusion in the book.

MANUSCRIPT REVISIONS

You will receive a book proof for you to review and edit prior to publication. Once you have approved the manuscript, we will proceed to publication.

HARD COVER BOOK

Your package includes 1 copy of your family history book.

Additional copies of the book may be ordered at initial printing or at a later date.

Price for book copies will be discussed when contract is signed and is contingent on book parameters such as sizing, publication specs and number of copies requested.

The CELEBRATION book package allows you commemorate a special occasion or milestone through photographs, stories, notes, and treasured souvenirs. We work with select family and friends to collect well wishes for your loved one, creating a unique and meaningful gift. If requested, additional services such as video interviews can be included alongside your hard cover book.

COMPILATION OF WELL WISHES

At your direction, we will reach out to family, friends, and associates for well wishes to be included in the CELEBRATION book.

This will include a questionnaire to be sent to selected guests requesting well wishes and memories of the recipient. An additional request for photographs will also be included.

We will manage all responses and their inclusion in the book.

Once the responses are complete, we will discuss any additional photographs and mementos that you would like to be included in the book.

The Reminisce Books experience…

Interview

The Reminisce Books experience begins with video interviews. We will come into your home or office, whichever is more comfortable and convenient, and we will conduct interviews. Over the course of your interviews (usually broken up into 2-hour sessions), we will ask you to reminisce and share your story. We will go over topics ahead of time to ensure that your favorite stories are shared, and important events are documented. In addition, you can let us know if there are certain topics, events, or people that you would prefer not to discuss in your interviews.

Write

Once the interviews are complete, we will begin transcribing the footage, turning the stories into a cohesive, engaging book. We will discuss storytelling style at the inception of your project, ensuring that your story is told in your voice. At this point we will reach out to go over the visual elements to be included in the book – items such as photographs, letters, and other meaningful souvenirs.

Publish

After the story is written and the visual images are incorporated, we will provide you a proof of the finished book. At that time, you will have a chance to review the details and have final approval of the finished product. All packages include a copy of the hard cover book as well as all the video interview footage. Prior to publishing you will also have the chance to purchase additional copies of your book.
